Wright, 94, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 25 at Kingsley Care Initiative. He was preceded in death by his parents a son, Scott Gruis two brothers, Robert and Donald Gruis and two sisters, Daisy Gruis and Lois Johnson. a sister-in-law, Betty Cook of Charleston a sister, Betty Conover of Sioux City seven grandchildren five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. of Council Bluffs, Iowa a daughter-in-law, Karla Gruis of Smithville, Mo. and Missy (Nick Weaver) Gruis of Moville a son, Gary (Tracy) Gruis Jr. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Judy Gruis of Moville three daughters: Marie (John) Forch of Moville Pam O’Donnell of Charleston, S.C. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football - and especially watching his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Gary worked for West Transportation until his retirement in 2006. Gary married Judy Millard on September 19, 1958, in Elk Point, S.D. ![]() The family relocated to Sioux City in 1945. Gary was born on March 14, 1941, in Sibley, Iowa, to Walbert and Dorothea (Steffenhagen) Gruis. ![]() on Friday, September 30, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moville. Memorial services commemorating Gary’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. 18, 2016, at Kingsley Specialty Care in Kingsley, Iowa, following a brief illness. ![]() Gruis Sr., 75, of Moville, passed away Sunday, Sept.
